Out Of Their System

The Gunners would be hosting Liverpool after their embarrassing defeat at the Anfield last week. Arsene Wenger’s team was literally brought down to the knees with the fabulous display of Liverpool’s vintage football.

However Wenger seems to be quite contained with the draw against Manchester United and feels that the Merseyside horror is out of their system now and they are looking forward to host Liverpool at the Emirates for the FA Cup tie which is about to take place on Sunday. It will be a clash of the Reds on one side and there will be a battle between the Blues on the other as Chelsea look to maintain their good record in the FA Cup against Manchester City.

The last game against Manchester United remained in goalless draw although both the teams came close to scoring. Robin Van Persie returned to his former club and was frequently booed from the crowd whenever he got the ball. His previous celebration for a goal in the early half of the season against Arsenal made the fans really angry although Arsene Wenger said nothing about it.

In a recent interview after the match against Manchester United Wenger said that the clean sheet meant a lot for his team after the five goal defeat at Anfield and they are quite confident now to face Liverpool in the FA Cup.

When asked about what went wrong on that day he said that it was not really their day because it is not usual to concede four goals in the first twenty minutes of the match. He also went on to say that the goal difference could have been more because Liverpool had quite a few chances to score. But on a brighter note he also said that the team put up a great defensive display against Manchester United and that would bring in a lot of confidence to the lads.
